St Joseph's Primary School

Learning together, learning forever.

  1. Welcome from the Head

Welcome Message

Welcome to St. Joseph’s Primary School, Killeenan, a rural Primary School located in the historic and beautiful parish of Kildress. Thank you for taking an interest in our school and for visiting our website to view the busy and thriving environment we have created for the development of all of the children of St. Joseph’s. It is our aim to meet each child's academic, emotional, social and spiritual needs as they progress through their primary school education. The development of each individual pupil in St. Joseph’s depends upon the strong partnership we have established between school, home, church and the wider community. The support of our parents, school staff and of our school governors enables us to strive forward to help our children grow in confidence and work purposefully to a realistically high standard, developing and  achieving to the best of their individual abilities.

If you would like to arrange a visit to our school to meet our staff and view the facilities we have on offer please contact us to arrange a suitable time.

Thank-you

Catherine McKenna

Fruity Friday was a great success. Many thanks to Mickey Smith for the delicious fruit and to the Fundraising Group for covering the cost.

Many thanks to Conor, and his assistant Odhran, on organising a hamper raffle for Mary’s Meals.           They have raised the fantastic amount of £185.26 which will feed nine children a meal every day for a year. We were delighted to welcome The Cookstown organiser, Pat McNeill, to St Joseph’s for the raffle. Congratulations to our winners, Jenna and Grace. Coppers can still be sent into school for our "Blue Mug" collections, thank-you.

We are again collecting coppers and loose change for our chosen charity, Mary's Meals. It costs just £19.15 to give a child a nutritious meal each day at school for a full year. Each class has a blue mug which can be filled with coppers and loose change. All donations are welcomed and are very much appreciated. We have currently raised £1835.64 which will feed 115 children a meal at school each day for a whole year! Clicking on the picture below will take you to the Mary's Meals website with lots of information about this worthy cause, feeding some of the poorest children in the world. Thank-you for your support.
